Before your visit

Free teacher planning visits

Make sure you and your students get the most out of the Doctor Who Experience by using the free teacher recce visit. Once you have booked, please contact our on site events team on 0844 801 3663  to arrange a recce visit so that you can come and look round the venue and plan your day.

Risk assessment

The risk assessment includes lots of useful information to help answer your safety questions before your visit.

Travel

You can find instructions on getting to us from our Travel section.
For school groups travelling by coach, there is a drop off point and local parking.
On arrival - Every school party has been provided with a timed entry. To get the group through swiftly, every child should have their own ticket.

On the day of your visit:

Dedicated schools' room

There is a dedicated school room which can be used to eat lunch. Unfortunately bags and belongings cannot be left or stored in these rooms.

Lunch facilities

There is a cafe at the venue, serving a variety of hot and cold meals and drinks. Eating areas are provided if you choose to bring packed lunches instead.

Length of visit

The Doctor Who Experience is in two parts. On arrival you will enter straight into the walk-through adventure which lasts approximately 30minutes, before entering the free-flow exhibition which you can browse for between 60 and 90 minutes. Please keep your bags with you at all times.
